Pirates 2, Twins 2

Raise it half mast, or something like that.  The Pirates dueled the Twins and concluded with a tie game.  Frankie came out the gate looking in midseason form as he struck out 4 batters in 2 perfect innings.  Melancon followed up by sawing off 4 straight batters allowing just 1 to get on base.

The bats also came alive today.  Gregory Polanco went 3-3 while stealing a base (and continuing his string of bonehead base running).  Marte easily turned a gap shot into a triple and drove in an RBI.  John Jaso was also able to manage 2 hits off of lefties today to bring his short spring batting average to a .667.

The Pirates were able to get off to a quick 1 run lead in the 1st while Neftalo Feliz enabled to score to tie in the 4th giving up an RBI triple to SS, Eduardo Nunez.  After the replacements came in providing some uninspiring baseball, each team was able to provide an additional run in the 9th to walk away with a tie.

Tomorrow, the Pirates will be in Celebration to face to Braves where Anthony DiNardo himself will be in attendance.  Be forewarned, your Twitter will be blowing up!
