The Miguel Andujar era is officially over in Pittsburgh after being claimed off waivers by the Oakland A’s. He finishes his Pirates career with a .742 OPS and four home runs in 130 plate appearances spread over parts of two seasons. Andujar was set to make around $2m in arbitration next season.

Lefty reliever, Angel Perdomo, who had Tommy John surgery on October 6th, was also claimed by Atlanta. This one is a little surprising considering he will be out all of 2024, and I would expect Atlanta to perhaps try to sneak him through waivers themselves. Perdomo struck out a whopping 44 batters in 29 innings this season with a 3.72 ERA.

Righty reliever Yerry De Los Santos, whose season was cut short due to injury, cleared waivers and was outrighted to Indianapolis. De Los Santos pitched 24 1/3 innings this season for the Pirates, striking out 18 and walking 13 with a 3.33 ERA.
