What a wild off-season, right? Good grief, I’m not the only one finding it incredibly boring, am I? I hope not.

Since the current iteration of the Pittsburgh Pirates are bringing limited joy, I figured we could look back at moments when this ball club did.

I remember this game vividly. My father and I were in the living room in manic laughing over the offensive product this team continued to put on the diamond… Gee, Dad, I wonder where I get my optimism. The Cardinals led the Pirates 10-4 in the 8th inning. I decided to go to bed early, which is also a theme in my life, and at some point I heard my dad call for me. All of the sudden, it was 10-6. What I witnessed was one of the greatest comebacks in Pirates history.

Personally, my favorite part is the Steve Blass call. Just fantastic.
