For the second time this offseason, Oneil Cruz has switched his agent. This time, moving to CAA, the same agency as Pirates’ OF Bryan Reynolds.

Back in November, Cruz switched to Octagon and the same agent as Mariners’ star Julio Rodriguez.

I’m not going to pretend like I know what this means, but typically when a player switches agents, it’s because someone else is able to offer them something they want over their current representation.

Cruz is not due to become a free agent until 2029, so I’m sure this move won’t spur any speculation amongst Pirates fans that this is a move towards a possible extension.
