North Shore Nine

In December (link), we outlined some lines that Vegas put in place for the 2024 season. Today, DraftKings Sportsbook released their o/u totals for individual home runs and strikeouts. No Pirates received a betting line for home runs, but Mitch Keller did receive one for his season strikeout total.

Coming off a career high 210 strikeout performance in 2023, Vegas puts Keller’s 2024 total at 175.5.

Projection systems seem to predict a Keller over here if he is able to handle a full workload but ZiPS, for example, has Keller at 158 strikeouts in 29 starts, which would be three less outings as last year.
