20 days after the Pirates DFA’d Canaan Smith-Njigba, the 24-year old outfielder is back in the black and gold.

Interestingly enough, the Pirates had the last priority to claim Smith-Njigba, so it means he was likely to clear waivers if not for the Bucs stepping in here.

JT Brubaker is the corresponding move here as he will be placed on the 60-Day IL as he still recovers from last year’s Tommy John surgery.
