Keller making his second start of the spring after signing his four-year extension. He will go up against Lopez of Tampa who is trying to earn a spot with the club to start the season.

Derek Shelton is again putting a fair amount of expected opening day starters behind his ace. The exceptions to that today being Sergio Alcantara at 3B, Billy McKinney in RF and Jason Delay behind the dish. Today we will see Liover Peguero at SS and Jared Triolo at 2B, it will be interesting to watch how they pair up.

Following Keller today we are expected to see Jose Hernandez, Kyle Nicolas, Sean Sullivan, Huner Stratton, Wily Peralta and Jackson Wolf. Wolf will make his spring debut today after coming to Pittsburgh in a midseason trade last year. At years end he ranked 10th on the Pirates top prosects list, 2023 Pirates Top Prospects (mlb.com).
