As things currently stand, NC State might not have a path to an at-large bid. With a loss at North Carolina, any remaining path would close for the Wolfpack. Meanwhile, North Carolina is still in contention for a 1 seed, but a loss would damage their chances.

A win at Auburn would make Mississippi State a near lock to make the NCAA tournament. A loss would put the Bulldogs squarely on the bubble. With a win, Auburn could improve its case for a spot on the top four seed lines.

Cincinnati would be eliminated from at-large contention will a loss tonight. Meanwhile, this is Kansas State’s ‘easiest’ chance at a Q1 win for the remainder of regular season play. Kansas State still has games at Kansas and at Iowa State, so there might still be a narrow path to an at-large bid with a loss to the Bearcats.
