The Pirates fell to the Red Sox 1-0 this afternoon. The Pirates fall to 6-10 this spring.

Bailey Falter started the game for the Pirates, pitching 3.2 innings of shutout ball with four strikeouts. Brent Honeywell Jr., Jose Hernandez, and Colin Selby also provided shutout innings. The sole Red Sox run was allowed by Ryder Ryan in the 7th inning.

Offensively, the Pirates struggled. All five of their hits were singles, coming off the bats of Billy McKinney, Liover Peguero, Edward Olivares, Canaan Smith–Njigba, and Sergio Alcantara.

The Pirates are back in action tomorrow at 1:05, heading home to LECOM Park to battle the Braves.
