I mean…not much to say other than it was a pretty ugly game.

Marco Gonzales had a very rough start. The Yankees offense did not let up, totaling 3.2 innings pitched, allowing nine runs on ten hits and two walks.

Giancarlo Stanton will make all the headlines tomorrow. This was one of the most impressive performances I’ve seen, Spring Training or otherwise. Stanton finished 3-3 with 3 home runs and 8 runs batted in.

Ryder Ryan and Brent Honeywell Jr. came in and threw up zeros, Honeywell got up to 95 miles per hour and looked pretty solid.

Quinn Priester came in to finish the game and didn’t look much better. He surrendered three runs in three innings on four hits and two walks.

As for the Pirate offense, Oneil Cruz, Jack Suwinski, Ke’Bryan Hayes and Andrew McCutchen all collected hits. Cruz and Hayes both hit doubles which was nice to see, but the offense couldn’t get much going all night.

The Pirates will be back home at LECOM Park tomorrow against the Blue Jays. The game will be telecast on SportsNet Pittsburgh.
