The Pittsburgh Pirates begin their 2024 campaign today in Miami versus the Marlins. Mitch Keller will toe the rubber against Jesus Luzardo. Keller coming off an All-Star season and fresh contract extension looks to lead the Pirates from the head of the rotation.

Derek Shelton finally gets to show off his Opening Day roster. Expected regular, Jack Suwinski, is notably absent from the lineup due to the match-up against the lefthanded Luzardo. Expect to see him back in an upcoming game with Connor Joe moving to 1B and Rowdy Tellez to the bench. Keep an eye on Tellez to see how he fairs in the LH vs LH match-up this afternoon. On the flip side, the Pirates will see a familiar face hitting 2nd against them in Josh Bell. He will be followed by Bryan De La Cruz and Jazz Chisholm.
