Probable Starters:
Red Sox – Kutter Crawford (0-0, 0.42 ERA)
Pirates – Mitch Keller (2-1, 4.50 ERA)

The Pirates offense has really sputtered during this 4 game losing streak. In New York, the Bucs scored 5 runs over 3 games, including scoring just one run twice. That poor form continued into last night, scoring only one run, after the game was essentially out of reach.

Enter: Kutter Crawford, the Red Sox starter has numbers that a struggling lineup does not want to see. Crawford has been stellar so far, posting a 0.42 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts in 21.1 innings.

For those wondering, yes, Kutter does throw a Cutter, about 27% of the time.

The Pirates will send Mitch Keller to the hill looking to build off of his impressive start against the Phillies. Mitch looked more like himself, and his fastball looked more like his fastball (hovering around 96-97).

Oneil Cruz, Jack Suwinski and Rowdy Tellez will all be in the lineup. These three lefties will need to provide some slugging, fast. Despite Crawford’s amazing numbers, this should be a decent matchup for them, a righty who only features his splitter (changeup) 6% of the time.
