PIT – Quinn Priester (0-1 3.48 ERA)
OAK – Ross Stripling (0-5 4.98 ERA)

The Pirates look to salvage a win in Oakland this afternoon, after dropping the first two games of the series. Quinn Preister starts for the struggling Pirates, he looked very good in his last start for them. He will be going up against Ross Stripling who has had some early season struggle and will look to bounce back from them against a horrific Pirate offense.

Derek Shelton was able to put a number of his left-handed starters back in the lineup to start today. With Oneil Cruz, Jack Suwinski and Rowdy Tellez all back in the lineup this afternoon. Edward Olivares and Henry Davis are both players to watch today. Both have been struggling a lot and both could be in jeopardy on being sent to AAA to get a reset. Especially Davis as Yasmani Grandal is more than likely going to be reactivated Friday intime for the homestand.

The lack of offense has been a pain point for the fanbase over the last month. If the offense does not get going today, and even if it does, don’t be surprised if you hear more Boo’s this coming Friday evening.
