Brief rain delays could stop Mitch Keller today. The Braves offense has scuffled recently, but still has all the star power you could ask for. Keller was efficient and held the Braves to one run on seven hits through 6.2 innings.

Ji Hwan Bae delivered the Bucs first run on a 3rd inning single, diving in Jared Triolo for an early lead.

Nick Gonzales can’t stop driving in runs. Gonzales doubled in Oneil Cruz in the 4th inning. Edward Olivares then hit a sacrifice fly to score Gonzales and the Pirates took a 3-1 lead.

Keller continued to cruise after the brief rain delay and finished with a line of 6.2IP, 6H, 1R/ER, 4K, 0BB.

Bryan Reynolds would add a 4th run, driving in McCutchen in the 7th.

Colin Holderman finished the 7th inning that Keller started, and also threw a clean 8th inning. David Bednar then came on and earned his sixth save of the season.

The Bucs will be back in action tomorrow against these same Atlanta Braves, looking for a sweep. Game time is 1:35.
