Ben Cherington adds his second new player of the day, cutting a deal with the Colorado Rockies for LHP Jalen Beeks. In 45 games for the Rockies this year Beeks is 6-4 with a 4.74 ERA, he has struck out 38 and walked 18.

In return the Rockies added 23 year old RH Luis Peralta who was playing in AA Altoona. In 26 games for the Curve this season Peralta was 4-0 with 5 saves and a 0.91 ERA. He was not ranked as a top prospect by Pipeline nor Fangraphs.
