The North Shore Nine crew closed out their time at Spring Training with a final breakdown from LECOM Park, where the Pirates edged the Rays 3-2. The story of the day was Mitch Keller, who tossed three scoreless innings, looking sharp and efficient with just 38 pitches. The “DOPE Meter” was in full effect as the pitching staff carried the team, with David Bednar, Colin Holderman, and others getting work in.

Offensively, the Pirates didn’t do much, but timely contributions from Tommy Pham, Bryan Reynolds, and Nick Gonzales were enough to push across three runs. As the team prepares for Opening Day, it’s clear they’ll rely on strong pitching and a contact-heavy approach at the plate.

The NS9 crew also reflected on an incredible week in Bradenton, with great fan interactions and behind-the-scenes moments. Now, it’s time to head north and get ready for the real action!
