The mood was bleak on the latest NS9 Postgame Show powered by Primanti Bros., as Tyler and Ryan dissect another rough Pirates loss—this time a 10-4 beatdown by the Yankees.
The Bucs briefly grabbed a lead before a six-run fifth inning blew the game wide open. Bailey Falter couldn’t miss bats, Colin Holderman fell apart in relief, and the offense vanished against New York’s bullpen. Outside of Oneil Cruz and Ke’Bryan Hayes, the lineup showed little life.
The guys don’t hold back in their criticism of the roster construction, Derek Shelton’s bullpen decisions, and the lack of urgency from the front office. Year six of the rebuild, and the team is trotting out Alexander Canario and Enmanuel Valdez. From frustration over Endy Rodríguez to questioning whether anyone in charge actually cares, it’s as real as it gets.
