North Shore Nine

The NS9 Postgame Show, powered by Primanti Bros., broke down the Pirates’ 8-4 win over the Cardinals in front of what felt like a COVID-era crowd at a frigid PNC Park. Jim and Neil celebrated a rare comfortable win, with Carmen Mlodzinski tossing five solid innings in his first start of the season and Thomas Harrington locking down an old-school four-inning save. Offensively, Joey Bart broke out with a homer and a wind-aided triple, while Andrew McCutchen, Ke’Bryan Hayes, and Isiah Kiner-Falefa all continued their strong starts. The Pirates went a perfect 4-for-4 with runners in scoring position, a refreshing change. Even though it was freezing, the bats were hot, and the Bucs notched their second straight win, climbing to 4-7 on the season.
