The Pirates dropped yet another frustrating game on Friday night, losing 9–4 to the Padres in front of a sparse PNC Park crowd of just over 12,000. After a rain delay and an Apple TV broadcast that only added to fans’ misery, things briefly looked promising. Mitch Keller started and the Bucs even held a lead—but it all unraveled fast. The bullpen couldn’t hold the line, and the offense once again failed in key spots despite four runs on the board.

The NS9 crew didn’t hold back in this postgame episode, venting about poor roster construction, Shelton’s leash, and how the front office has let things spiral. Still, there were bright spots: Oneil Cruz continues his breakout campaign, and Bryan Reynolds may be on the verge of one. But as the losses mount, it’s clear the team is running out of time and answers.
