Don Kelly’s managerial debut couldn’t have gone much better, as the Pirates snapped their losing streak with a 3–2 win over the Braves at PNC Park. Bailey Falter gave the Bucs six strong innings, while homers from Alexander Canario and Jared Triolo sparked just enough offense to get the job done. David Bednar navigated late-inning traffic to escape the 8th, and Dennis Santana closed the door for Donnie Baseball’s first career win as a big league skipper.
On this NS9 Postgame Show Powered by Primanti Bros., DiNardo and Doug break it all down—from Kelly’s decision to insert Canario, to the late-game bullpen chess match, to Bailey Falter’s quietly effective role in the rotation. They also dig into what a Canario emergence could mean long term and vent frustrations about the roster’s limitations.
Also… the sandwiches are back. NS9 finally got to give away Primanti Bros. again!
