After a marathon day of Pirates baseball that stretched over nine hours, the North Shore Nine crew broke down a wild Game 2 victory over the Tigers. Paul Skenes turned in another quality start—despite some uncharacteristic control issues—going six innings with nine strikeouts and just two runs allowed. Nick Gonzales and Jared Triolo both went deep, while Andrew McCutchen continued his quietly excellent season with a homer of his own. The bullpen nearly coughed it up, rain delays interrupted the action, fans got ejected, and Tommy Pham nearly sparked another brawl—but somehow, the Pirates emerged with an 8–4 extra-inning win.

We recapped all the chaos, celebrated some much-needed offense, and gave out free sandwiches.
