North Shore Nine

The Pittsburgh Pirates played one of their worst games of the season in a 9–3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, and the NS9 Postgame Show pulled no punches breaking it all down. DiNardo and Tyler tackled everything from Andrew Heaney’s disastrous start (7 ER in 4 IP) to a lifeless offensive effort that failed to capitalize with the bases loaded and no outs. The few bright spots—Nick Gonzales’ three-run homer and a solid debut by Dauri Moreta clone Michael Darrell-Hicks—were quickly overshadowed by poor base running, sloppy defense, and a total lack of urgency.

But the biggest moment came late: Oneil Cruz was benched mid-game by Don Kelly for a lack of hustle, a move the hosts applauded as long overdue. If this team is going to turn the corner, accountability needs to start now.
