In one of the most satisfying wins of the season, the Pirates took down the Mets 9–2 for their second straight blowout victory. Despite a rain delay and a short outing from Bailey Falter, the bullpen carried the day—delivering 7.1 innings of dominant one-run ball. Caleb Ferguson continued his underrated dominance, while Dennis Santana slammed the door in a high-leverage fifth inning. The offense? A throwback to small ball: 12 hits, 11 of them singles, with key contributions from Joey Bart, Nick Gonzalez, and Ke’Bryan Hayes. Even Bryan Reynolds kept his hot streak alive with a late two-run double. The guys also paid tribute to Pirates legend Dave Parker, who sadly passed away earlier in the day. With the win, the Pirates clinch the series and have a chance to sweep on Sunday.
