The NS9 Postgame Show returns as Jim and Doug break down a rough Fourth of July for the Pirates, who saw their six-game winning streak snapped in a 6–0 loss to the Mariners. The offense reverted to its old ways, going 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position and leaving eight men on base. Bailey Falter gave the team a serviceable outing, but the Bucs couldn’t overcome Seattle’s four-homer barrage—two of which came from the red-hot Cal Raleigh, who’s putting up one of the most impressive offensive seasons ever by a catcher. The guys dive into Raleigh’s MVP-caliber campaign, Joey Bart’s disappointing season, and Adam Frazier’s costly strikeout in a key moment. Despite the loss, there were some silver linings, including Nick Gonzales‘ three-hit day and a well-rested bullpen heading into the weekend.
