The Pirates finally gave fans a reason to smile, shutting out the first-place Tigers 3–0 behind another dominant Paul Skenes performance. Skenes went six innings strong, lowering his ERA to 1.91 and proving once again why he’s the heartbeat of this team. The offense? Still lacking pop, but managed to piece together nine singles and three runs—just enough to get it done. Doug and Neil break it all down and explain why, even in a win, frustration lingers. The bullpen was lights out, led by Dennis Santana and David Bednar, but concerns remain about the offense, roster construction, and—of course—Ben Cherington.
