After decades of waiting, The Cobra finally slithered into Cooperstown.

Dave Parker, one of the most dominant hitters of his era and a Pittsburgh Pirates legend, was officially inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame — and we were there to witness every moment. Ryan and Doug made the trip to Cooperstown for a weekend packed with nostalgia, emotion, and a whole lot of black and gold pride.

They hit the Hall of Fame museum on Saturday, loaded up on merch (seriously, a lot), and took in the sights of one of baseball’s most iconic towns. The evening parade featured legends from across generations, but for Pirates fans, it was all about Parker. Then came Sunday — induction day — where Dave Parker II delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of his father, honoring not just a great ballplayer, but a trailblazer and fighter who left an undeniable mark on the game.

This podcast episode is part story time, part tribute, and part celebration. If you’ve ever rooted for the Pirates or believed Dave Parker deserved this honor years ago, this one’s for you.

Parker’s in. It’s about damn time.
