The Brewers completed a dominant sweep of the Pirates with a 12–5 win, outscoring Pittsburgh 31–6 in the series and exposing every flaw in the roster. Mitch Keller lasted just four innings, allowing six runs, while the defense and bullpen offered no help. Bryan Reynolds provided all the offense with two home runs and five RBI, but the team went 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left 10 on base. Since the trade deadline, the bullpen has collapsed, and any early-season optimism has evaporated. With the Cubs and Blue Jays up next, an off day is the only silver lining. Unless something changes fast, the rest of the season could be as ugly as this series in Milwaukee.
