The Pirates picked up a big win over the Dodgers, and it all started with Paul Skenes. The Cy Young favorite carved through Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup, striking out Shohei Ohtani and holding Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman in check.

On the offensive side, Bryan Reynolds set the tone with multiple big hits, and Nick Yorke delivered the knockout blow with a two-run double in the fifth that broke the game wide open. The Dodgers mounted a late rally in the ninth, but Colin Holderman was able to come through to secure the win.
