The 2025 Pittsburgh Pirates season is officially in the books, and the latest episode of NS9LIVE dove headfirst into what it all means. Don Kelly is back as manager, Ben Cherington remains in charge, and the coaching carousel is already spinning with Oscar Marin, Mike Rebello, and Brent Strom all out. The crew broke down what those changes say about the direction of the franchise and how much leash Don Kelly should have to build his own staff.
From there, it turned into a lighter but revealing look back at the preseason over/under predictions. Bubba Chandler’s debut, Jack Suwinski’s home run struggles, Endy Rodriguez’s brief stint behind the plate, and Andrew McCutchen’s decline were all on the board, with Tyler ultimately taking the “crown” for being the most pessimistic—and unfortunately, the most accurate.
It was a fitting wrap-up to a disappointing season, but one filled with plenty of laughs, banter, and perspective.
