Happy home opener day and Happy Konnor Griffin debut day. It should be a good day to be at the ball yard and I expect the atmosphere to be electric. Let’s take a look at the NS9 Bullpen Breakdown coming off the day off and into this six-game homestand.

The bullpen should be all ready to go. The bullpen has pitched well and efficiently for the most part after Opening Day, there’s a lot of yellow on that chart instead of red which is a good thing.
Mitch Keller will make his second start of 2026 when he toes the rubber at PNC Park. In his last outing, first half Mitch was stellar with no runs allowed, no walks and just three hits over six innings of work against a good Mets lineup. Can Keller do it again against the Orioles? You have to go back to May of 2023 for the last time Keller had back-to-back shutout outings of six innings or more. The task will be tall today against a good-hitting Orioles lineup, but he does have good numbers against Baltimore in his career. Mitch has a 0.69 ERA (nice) in 13.0 innings against the O’s through two starts. He hasn’t faced them since 2023 when he struck out 13 batters in seven innings of work, which was the second game of that two-game scoreless streak I mentioned above. It’s a bit of a different lineup now than in 2023 (Ryan O’Hearn was on that Orioles team), but maybe history will repeat itself again.
If you’re going to the game, get loud and have a blast. Is this team about to be really exciting? I can’t believe it. I’m not used to nice things with my baseball team! Let’s try and enjoy this one though.
