Braxton Ashcraft going six strong innings yesterday helped the pen as Donnie Kelly only needed two innings from Isaac Mattson and Justin Lawrence total and both delivered with scoreless frames in under 20 pitches each.

I think Dennis Santana will be back to available tonight with him getting an off day yesterday. Mattson likely is unavailable or at least they probably don’t want to pitch him a third straight day unless absolutely necessary. Besides that, I think everyone else will be available and ready to go. And I think there’s a good chance they call on Gregory Soto and Hunter Barco to pitch tonight, but we shall see.
Tonight, it’s Bubba Chandler time as he makes his 2026 debut from GABP. This will only be Chandler’s 5th start of his career which is wild to think about because it seems like we’ve been talking about him for a long time (and we have). Lot of talk about what Bubba can do this season. Last year he struck out 31 batters in 31.1 innings and walked just four. His ERA landed at 4.02, but a 2.66 FIP. If he can continue that strikeout/walk ratio, he’ll be in line for a solid season. Bubba’s start will complete the first run through the rotation this season and then Paul Skenes will be up Wednesday afternoon on getaway day.
