I still can’t believe Dennis Santana didn’t pitch in yesterday’s 8-2 loss. He now hasn’t pitched the past four days and will be super fresh after an off day before facing the Cubs. It was a red kinda day for the bullpen…in more ways than one. After Mitch Keller exited after six stellar innings, Lawrence tossed 25 pitches while giving up four runs and Jose Urquidy fired 36 pitches in two innings of work while also serving up four runs. I still haven’t figured out Urquidy’s role on this team. I expect everyone to be available in Chicago with the off day today.
