As previously suspected, Pirates starting pitcher Johan Oviedo will undergo Tommy John surgery, Francys Romero reports.
Oviedo threw 177.2 innings in 2023 with an ERA of 4.31 in his first season as a full time starter. The loss leaves the Pirates with Mitch Keller as the lone returning starting pitcher going into 2024.
