Mitch Keller will remain a Pirate for years to come.

After breaking out last year with an All-Star berth, the Pirates have locked up their ace to what seems like a very team friendly 5 year, $77 million deal.

The deal includes 2024, so in reality, it’s an extension of 4 years and locks him up through 2028.

Keller joins Ke’Bryan Hayes and Bryan Reynolds as core players the Pirates have signed to extensions through the better part of this decade.

More details to come.

Today the Pittsburgh Pirates announced a 5-year $77 million extension for their 2024 Opening Day Starter, Mitch Keller. We give our thoughts and reactions to this.
