Marco Gonzales will take the ball as the Pirates travel to Tampa, Florida once again to take on the New York Yankees.

Plenty of Yankee regulars in the lineup, so this will be a good chance to stretch Gonzales out against major league hitters as we get closer to Opening Day.

Injuries in the Yankee rotation have Luke Weaver fighting for an Opening Day roster spot. He will face Ke’Bryan Hayes, Oneil Cruz, and the rest of the Pirates lineup which leads the Grapefruit league in home runs.

These at bats against a major league arm will be crucial for guys like Connor Joe and Jared Triolo. I think both are safely on the roster, but will continue to battle for playing time.
