With a win today, the Pirates will have won their first four series of the season. This is the latter game of a two-game set with the Tigers. Martin Perez will take the bump for the Pirates, hoping to build on a strong start to the season. The Tigers’ starter will be Casey Mize, the first overall pick in the 2018 draft. Thus far, Mize has had an up and down career, partially due to injuries.

Notably, Oneil Cruz gets the day off, with Alika Williams taking his place at shortstop. Jared Triolo will lead off, with the rest of the lineup being somewhat typical. Henry Davis will bat 8th, hoping to get over some early offensive struggles.
