PHI- Ranger Suarez (1-0. 4.09)

The Pittsburgh Pirates are back in action across the state today after the off day. Jared Jones pitches for the Pirates, facing his toughest lineup yet in the young season. Ranger Suarez gets the start for the Phillies tonight after two solid starts this season versus the Nationals and the Braves. Between the off-day and the Martin Perez eight inning masterclass Tuesday afternoon the Pirate bullpen should be well rested for the series. The Phillies on the hand have used eight innings out of their bullpen over the last three days. It will be vitally important for the Pirates to get into the Phillies pen early to set the tone for the series.

Derek Shelton going with one of his right-handed heavy lineups versus the left hander starter. The only left-handed hitting to get the nod today is Oneil Cruz, who is slotted in the seven hole. After a hot start on Tuesday Edward Olivares gets put in the cleanup spot, preceded by Connor Joe, Bryan Reynolds and Ke’Bryan Hayes.
