The Pittsburgh Pirates look to avoid the sweep today against the Mets. Bailey Falter will be on the bump going up against Luis Severino. The Pirates will have an off day tomorrow before returning home to face off versus the Boston Red Sox.

Derek Shelton throws out the getaway plus lineup today. He gets Jack Suwinski and Rowdy Tellez back in versus the right handed. Also moves Connor Joe down to the three hole and moves Joey Bart into the seven spot. Even for a getaway lineup it is very balanced. The bats will need to thunder today to quell the hum of discontent from the Pirate faithful.
