A bit of a homecoming for Jared Jones, pitching in his home state of California for the first time in Major League career.
Jones is coming off of yet another electric start, where he went 6 innings and only allowed 1 run on 4 hits. Forgive me but I’ll use any excuse to post this again:
Jones, and Giants starter Keaton Winn have been off to great starts this season, giving a jolt to their respective teams.
Strong lineups for both teams on a Sunday, and Oneil Cruz comes into the 3 hole. The Pirates will need his slugging to put up runs as they have been held to 4 runs or fewer in 11 of the last 12 games.
