The Pirates head east across the San Francisco Bay to Oakland to take on the Athletics, finishing up a six-game road trip for the Bucs.

Bailey Falter will attempt to continue the trend of fantastic starting pitching for the Pirates, the California native is coming off of a fantastic start against the Brewers.

The Pirates will face right-hander Joe Boyle, meaning Jack Suwinski and Rowdy Tellez will slide in. The left-handed pair have shown signs of getting on the right track lately.

They, and the rest of the lineup, need to get going so this run of great starting pitching is not completely wasted.

The A’s have been quietly playing good baseball coming into this series. They will be ecstatic coming home after taking 4 out of 7 against the Yankees and Orioles.
