Robert Murray has reported that the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed pitcher Josh Fleming.
Fleming is a former 5th round pick by Tampa Bay out of Webster University. He has pitched in parts of four seasons for the Ray’s making 55 appearances 22 of which were starts. He has compiled a record of 19-13 with a 4.88 ERA over that span.
The contract is a major-league split contract. He will join a crowed group of pitchers vying for a spot in the back end of the rotation/front of the bullpen.
