Ke’Bryan Hayes helped the Bucs set sail in the top of the first, doubling to right center field and scoring Bryan Reynolds.

However the Phillies would strike back quickly. Kyle Schwarber muscled a leadoff opposite field homer to tie the game, and Nick Castellanos drove in Trea Turner to take a 2-1 lead.

Both pitchers began to settle in, until Oneil Cruz lined a two-run home run to left field. The home run was tracked at 108.1mph off the bat and got out in a hurry.

Marco Gonzales finished his day with 6.0IP, 6H, 2R/ER, 5K 3BB. This was a really good job by Gonzales to set in after early damage.

Aroldis Chapman surrendered the tying run on a single by Alec Bohm. Colin Holderman cleaned up the mess, and got the Pirates to the 8th inning.

The Phillies would break the deadlock, as Nick Castellanos walked it off with a single to the center field wall.

The Pirates will try to leave Philadelphia with a series split tomorrow afternoon.
