Walking In: The Bridges
Closes to vehicle traffic on Pirates home game days, becoming a pedestrian-only walkway to the park. The most iconic way to arrive in Pittsburgh.
Tip: Stop mid-bridge for one of the best views of PNC Park and the Pittsburgh skyline before you walk in.
A scenic pedestrian and vehicle bridge connecting downtown to the North Shore. Open all day and a great option if you're coming from the 7th Street garage or nearby.
Tip: Quieter than the Clemente Bridge on game days — less crowd, easier walk.
The farthest of the three bridges from the park but a solid option if you're coming from the Strip District or parking on that side of downtown.
Tip: Best used if you're grabbing food in the Strip District before the game.
The T (Light Rail)
Pittsburgh Regional Transit's light rail drops you directly at North Side Station — steps from PNC Park's main gate. It's the fastest, stress-free way to get to the game with zero parking headaches.
Fare: $2.75 — Free from any downtown station (Steel Plaza, Wood Street, Gateway Center, Penn Station area) — no ticket needed.
- Board at Steel Plaza or Wood Street for a free ride straight to the park.
- Trains run frequently and add extra service on game days.
- After the game the T keeps running — no rush to beat traffic.
- Drop 'North Side Station Pittsburgh' into Google Maps for exact directions.
Gateway Clipper
The most uniquely Pittsburgh way to get to the park. The Gateway Clipper runs a continuous shuttle from Station Square to PNC Park — hop on, grab a drink from the bar, and pull up to the ballpark from the river. No fixed schedule: they load, cruise, unload, and repeat.
Fare: $7.50 per person one way · $15 per person round trip · Children 6 and under ride free
Boarding: 350 West Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
Runs: Station Square — 1.5 hours before game time · returns Bottom of 7th inning through 30 minutes post-game
- Buy tickets online in advance or at the Dock Ticket Office on game day.
- The boat has a full bar — get your pre-game drink on the water.
- Vessels are cashless — bring a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
- Station Square has parking if you want to drive to the dock.
Parking
PNC Park is surrounded by North Shore lots and garages, plus 20,000+ spaces available in downtown Pittsburgh. Arrive early — lots fill fast on popular nights. All facilities accept cashless payment only.

Walk across the Andy Warhol Bridge (7th St) — about 5 minutes to the park.

- Check the ParkPGH app (m.parkpgh.org) for real-time downtown availability.
- All lots are cashless — bring a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
- Downtown garages fill last and tend to be cheaper on weeknights.
- Parking near First Avenue lets you hop the free T directly to the park.
- On big nights, The T is faster than driving — zero traffic on the way out.
Gates & Bag Policy
Gates open 90 min before first pitch. Exception: 60 min before for 6:40 PM weeknight games (Mon–Thu). Home Plate Club opens 2 hours before all games.
- One soft-sided bag per guest — 16"×16"×8" or smaller (includes soft-sided coolers & briefcases)
- Outside food (not permitted in Home Plate Club, Suite Level, or Left Field Lounge & Porch)
- Sealed, clear plastic water bottles — 24 oz or smaller
- Children's juice boxes
- Medically necessary items (inspected at entry)
- Hard-sided coolers, hard-sided briefcases, or oversized bags
- Ice packs and cooler inserts
- Outside alcohol, carbonated beverages, or sports drinks
- Cans, glass bottles, or thermoses

New at the Park (2026)
Puerto Rico-inspired hot dog with a Pittsburgh twist — sofrito beef, Smallman Street Deli kraut, yellow mustard, American cheese, ketchup, braised onion, and potato sticks on a roll.
Sweet tea-brined chicken on a toasted roll, topped with ketchup-braised onion, ranch, and shredded lettuce.
A Pittsburgh diner classic in ballpark form. Chipped ham, sauce, cheddar sauce, and garlic butter piled high on French fries.
Pierogies and Pittsburgh just go together. Sour cream dressing, green onion, garlic powder ranch seasoning, shredded cheddar, and diced bacon.
Stuffed pastry available in chicken or vegan — both served with ajo crema.
Tip: The vegan empanada is one of the best plant-based options in the park.
A full footlong hot dog with cornbread coating, yellow mustard, and pico de gallo — served in a special baseball bat boat.
Tip: The bat boat is a keepsake worth hanging onto.
Kettle-cooked chips loaded with kielbasa, caramelized onion, pico de gallo, and sriracha ketchup.
Fresh beignets with Nutella, caramel, and whipped cream. The dessert play of the season.
A mammoth smoked turkey leg served with smoked gouda mac and cheese, BBQ sauce, and coleslaw.
Tip: Easily the most shareable item in the park.
Must-Try Food
The Pittsburgh original. Overstuffed sandwiches stuffed with fries and coleslaw right inside the bread. A Pittsburgh rite of passage — you have to do it at least once.
Tip: Order the Pittsburgher or the Capicola & Egg.
Slow-smoked BBQ done the Pittsburgh way. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs — perfect with a cold beer on a summer night at the park.
Tip: The brisket sandwich is worth every minute of the line.
The famous seasoned crinkle-cut fries served with warm cheese sauce. Wildly addictive and a must-order at PNC Park.
Tip: Get the large — you will regret the small.
Mexican street food in the ballpark. Loaded nachos, street corn, and the best non-standard option on the concourse.
Tip: Try the street corn — it's underrated.
Fresh-pulled mozzarella sticks made to order. Not your frozen bar food — these are the real deal.
Bars & Beer
The Miller Lite hub inside PNC Park. A full bar with cans, cocktails, and the heart of the Miller Lite experience at the park.
Tip: The spot if you want Miller Lite on draft and a full bar menu in one place.
