We all know that baseball has some of the most attractive men in all of sports. (This, of course, is mostly due to baseball butts in baseball pants—if you know you KNOW—but I digress.) There are few things in this world that I love more than a good-looking man in an athletic uniform, and as someone whose boyfriend spends a good chunk of his time making fan cams of Pirates players for NS9, I am uniquely qualified to say that, yes, indeed, there is a new sports-man for us to obsess over, and his name is Jared Jones.
Jones is a 22-year-old, 6’1 pitcher who made his MLB debut on Saturday, leading the team to another W with 10 strikeouts and pushing the Pirates to a 3-0 start to the 2024 season. (I dare you to ask any of the NS9 Guys how they felt about that.) Needless to say, Pirates fans were impressed, and the guys weren’t the only ones.
Jones stepped up to the mound dressed to impress with his mullet fluffed out the back of his hat, his eyes bright blue, and his jersey unbuttoned down the chest juuuust enough. See for yourself:
This man looks like he stepped right out of the 80s, and to be totally honest, you may as well call me Molly Ringwald, because the wish I made on my—ahem—Twenty-Seven Candles has come true. Talk about the Female Gaze. I know very few women who would deny that Jared Jones is talented enough and handsome enough to make sitting through your boyfriend drooling over stats and facts—and the Pirates’ 3-0 start—worth it.
Even better is that Jones is absolutely head-over-heels in love with his stunning fiancé and partner of over 6 years, Kylie. He has a whole Instagram story highlight dedicated solely to her. And, ladies, I think we can all agree that a good-looking man is even more handsome when he is outwardly obsessed with his lady and flaunts her every chance he gets.
Oh, and did I mention? He has a dog. A CUTE dog. That he calls Goob. I frickin’ love Goob.
Move over Kelce brothers, with football season over and warm weather around the corner, the ladies need a Baseball Guy to love. And we’re in luck because not only has baseball season just begun, but it started with a bang for anyone who’s paying attention (or is forced to pay attention, like me) to the Pittsburgh Pirates. If getting out to the most beautiful ballpark in America wasn’t incentive enough for you, let the talented, handsome Jared Jones be the reason you and the girls show up to PNC Park this season.
