The Pirates will make their way out to the Bay Area to face off against the Giants and A’s.

First up, the San Francisco Giants. The Giants are 4-3 in their last 7, including a series win against the Mets and a 4-game split against the Diamondbacks.

According to Alex Stumpf, the Pirates have optioned Ryder Ryan to Triple-A Indianapolis, and have recalled Kyle Nicolas as the corresponding move.

This should be a good opportunity for a winning road trip, and Quinn Priester will try to get them off on the right foot. The Giants will send their own pitching prospect to the hill in the form of highly-touted lefty Kyle Harrison.

Cutch is back in the leadoff spot again, and the duo of Connor Joe and Edward Olivares will replace Rowdy Tellez and Jack Suwinski as they face a lefty starter.
